I recently had a very pleasant stay at a charming motel in Masterton. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and comfortable, and the owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the attention to detail, with little touches like fly spray and air freshener in the room. The motel also had a lovely outdoor pool and a children's play area, which would be perfect for families. The location was convenient, with plenty of off-street parking available.
No improvement needed, everything was just right.

The motel is very easy to find just off the main road. Although we did not arrive till 7pm we had no difficulty checking in. The proprietor waited for us. The owners upgraded us to a larger room than the studio that we had originally booked online. Kitchen was well equipped for simple meals. Dining/lounge was very spacious.
Lounge room lighting was a bit dim for reading the newspaper. The sofa (also a fold out bed) was not very comfortable to sit on. The bedroom and the bathroom were both on the small side.

The motel had a near location to the city center, which made it easier for us to do some shopping and grab something to eat. The room was equipped with a microwave and a fridge, which was very useful for storing snacks and drinks. The pool was clean and seemed enjoyable for people.
The room was too old and dirty, and the beds were uncomfortable to sleep on. The staff was rude and not helpful at all when we had a problem with the bathroom.

We were able to choose from restaurants at nearby larger motels and some yummy takeaways. the room was very clean and spacious. the bathroom was modern with good-quality amenities. the staff was friendly and welcoming like a great host. the pool was well-maintained and a fun advantage for kids.
The price was not reasonable compared to other options in the area.

We loved the spacious unit with high ceilings, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and awesome hotel facilities. We enjoyed using the outdoor pool, tramp, and indoor spa pool. This hotel was close to shops, central to everything, and walking distance to other places we had been to.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The room was very spacious and clean. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. the best thing was the option of breakfast in the morning and the close proximity to the local shops and restaurants.
The exterior of the hotel seemed a little dated and could use some updating. the play area for children could also use some updates and maintenance.
